Navigating the complexities of modern life requires a sure foundation, and for Christians, that foundation is the Word of God (2nd Timothy 3:15-16). All throughout the ages, Christians have stood firmly upon the Scriptures as God’s breathed-out truth. At times, the Scriptures were a shield. At other times, a sword, but at all times, the truth. And behind every great theologian stood a dedication and love for God’s Word; in today’s rapidly transforming world, it can be no different.
In this Bible course, students will explore the Bible as the sole infallible rule of faith and practice, examining how every part of it, from Genesis to Revelation, contributes to a cohesive understanding of God's redemptive plan. Through careful study and open discussion, this class aims to equip students with the tools to interpret Scripture accurately and apply its timeless truths to the challenges of living in today’s world.
This Bible class will engage students where they are and aim to challenge how they think about God’s revelation. We'll move beyond surface-level readings and engage with the historical context, literary genres, and theological themes that shape the Bible's message. By understanding the interconnectedness of Scripture and how it all points to the glory of Jesus, students will gain a deeper appreciation for the Scripture’s timeless relevance and eternal nature in their own lives and becoming better prepared to contend with the world to the glory of God.
